Your privacy and trust are very important to us. For this reason, we want to ensure that you understand how we safeguard the integrity, privacy, and protection of your personal data. This privacy notice is provided in strict compliance with the Third Transitory Article and Articles 16 and 17 of the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares), published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on July 5, 2010. This law aims to protect personal data held by private parties by regulating its lawful, controlled, and informed processing, in order to guarantee individuals’ privacy and the right to informational self-determination.

Definitions

In accordance with the Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, its regulations, and this notice, the following terms shall mean:

  • I. Personal Data:Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
  • II. Sensitive Personal Data: Personal data that affects the data subject’s most intimate sphere, or whose improper use may lead to discrimination or entail a serious risk to the data subject. In particular, sensitive data includes information that may reveal aspects such as racial or ethnic origin, present and future health status, genetic information, religious, philosophical, and moral beliefs, union membership, political opinions, and sexual preference.
  • III. ARCO Rights: Rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Objection established under the law.
  • IV. Law: The Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties.
  • V. Data Controller: Collectively, Centro Integral de Fisioterapia y Ortopedia (CIFO) S de RL de CV, which will process your personal data.
  • VI. Data Subject: The natural person to whom the personal data belongs.

Data Controller for Personal Data Processing

The Data Controller is a group of companies duly incorporated under Mexican law, and we are committed to protecting all Personal Data provided by the Data Subject.

Purpose of Processing Personal Data

The personal data held by Centro Integral de Fisioterapia y Ortopedia (CIFO) S de RL de CV will be used for:

  • Provision of medical and hospital services, including, without limitation: hospitalization, surgery, diagnostic studies, nursing care, pharmaceutical services, blood bank services, laboratory analysis, radiology and imaging, pathology studies and analysis, therapy, rehabilitation, diet and nutrition, and other purposes related to health services.
  • Creation, review, analysis, updating, and storage of medical records in accordance with Mexican Official Standard NOM-004-SSA3-2012.
  • Billing and collection for medical and hospital services.
  • Health studies, records, statistics, and analysis.
  • Retention of records for service follow-up, future services, and, in general, to manage any contractual relationship between the patient and CIFO.
  • Statistical and market analysis.
  • Promotion and marketing of products and services of Centro Integral de Fisioterapia y Ortopedia (CIFO) S de RL de CV or other companies belonging to the same corporate group.

Sensitive Personal Data

Centro Integral de Fisioterapia y Ortopedia (CIFO) S de RL de CV will collect and process sensitive personal data related to health status, medical background and clinical history, lifestyle information, and other data necessary or appropriate for the purposes stated above. Sensitive personal data will be maintained and processed with strict security and confidentiality for purposes related to the provision of health services and in accordance with this privacy notice and applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Data Transfers

To provide services, Centro Integral de Fisioterapia y Ortopedia (CIFO) S de RL de CV may transfer personal data, within and outside Mexico, to third parties subcontracted for purposes related to those described in this privacy notice. Such third parties may include, without limitation, laboratories, clinics, hospitals, research centers, insurance companies, as well as any company within the same corporate group, authorities, or any other parties that CIFO deems necessary or appropriate to share personal data with.

How to Exercise ARCO Rights

(Access, Rectification, Cancellation, and Objection)

To access the personal data held by Centro Integral de Fisioterapia y Ortopedia (CIFO) S de RL de CV, to rectify it if it is inaccurate or incomplete, or to request cancellation or object to its processing for certain purposes, please submit a written request to our Legal Department at info@cifo.com.mx. The request must include:

  • Data subject’s full name
  • Data subject’s address or email address to receive the response
  • Documents proving identity or authorization to act on the data subject’s behalf
  • Description of the personal data regarding which you wish to exercise any ARCO right
